Mr. Alberta helps his customers manage the people side of change as technology changes faster than people can adopt it. He consults with customers and partners to assist customer adopt modern ways of collaborating through Microsoft’s cloud services. John has spent the majority of his career with technology consulting company including Accenture, EY and Microsoft.
John is a graduate of the University of Delaware and actively volunteers in the Horn Entrepreneur Program empowering students with technology innovation ideas and business models to develop sustainable solutions to important business and social problems.
As a recent member to the Advisory Board, John has been an ambassador for Back on My Feet since 2012 during his career with Accenture.
Managing Director, PriceWaterhouseCoopers
Carol Auer, managing director of risk assurance for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, is a 19-year veteran who helped lead her company’s fundraising efforts for Back on My Feet Philadelphia at the 2011 Broad Street Run, resulting in more than $8,200 in donations and a team of 27 including partners and staff. She has also worked with NPower, which provides technology services to not-for-profit organizations and technology training for at-risk youth, to sponsor events and provide technical training and internship opportunities.
James B. (J. B.) Broms
Mr. Broms is a partner in Accenture’s Philadelphia office. He is responsible for Accenture’s North American Wholesale Energy Markets practice, in which he has focused on the development of competitive electricity markets in the United States. He also works extensively within Accenture’s Smart Grid Services practice, supporting utility companies in the development of industry leading solutions. In these roles, he has worked with a number of utilities and energy companies within the United States and internationally during his career, and has extensive experience in strategic planning, process and system development, and project and program management. He is a frequent contributor and presenter at energy industry conferences.He is a graduate of Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, CA, with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Mathematics. Mr. Broms is actively involved in the Philadelphia community, also serving on the Board of Directors for the Fairmount Park Conservancy. Mr. Broms has become an avid recreational runner within the last 10 years, and believes strongly in how running simply makes life better. He is a frequent traveller, and runs with BoMF chapters in other cities whenever possible.

Abby is a Human Resources Vice President supporting the global functions (ie, Marketing, Technology) for the Intellectual Property and Science division of Clarivate Analytics. In her role, she supports over 700 employees who are spread almost evenly across North America, Europe and Asia Abby also serves on the Governing Board for Women@ Clarivate Analytics whose mission is to develop talents and champion the contributions of female employees, thus promoting women as equal parties in successes, achievement, and profitability of Clarivate Analytics. Abby has served as a Back on My Feet Philadelphia Non-Residential Member of the St. John's Hospice Team for over four years, serving a term as Team Leader and also working on event committees; she has received an Eagles Community Quarterback award for her leadership at Back on My Feet. Abby is an avid runner, completing over 15 half marathons in 14 different states!

Estella joined the Americas Learning Delivery team for Marriott International in 2015 where she supports the Pennsylvania and New Jersey markets elevating the guest experience through their most valuable resource – their associates. Her hospitality career spans twenty plus years working through the ranks at Hilton International and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. The later allowing her the incredible opportunity to work on a global team supporting brands in the Lifestyle and Luxury Space such as W Hotels, St. Regis, & The Luxury Collection.
She is super passionate about travel, food; and most importantly her role as mommy, executive assistant and cheerleader of her amazing children, Elizabeth & Daniel.
Russell Desrocher Jr.
Vice President, Market Lead | Cigna
Russ is currently a Vice President Market Lead of National Accounts. As such he has overall responsibility for a team that provides strategic direction and operational expertise to National Account clients in Pennsylvania and Delaware. Russ also serves as the relationship lead between Cigna and key clients, as a consultative resource on all global benefits.
Russ joined Cigna in 2014. Prior to joining Cigna, Russ spent 24 years with Aetna in Hartford, Dallas and Philadelphia. During his career, Russ worked in Underwriting - both medical and group insurance, National Account sales as a Sr. Account Executive and National Account sales management as a Director of Sales & Service.
Russ graduated from Southern CT State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. During his time in college he was captain of the Track & Field team and a two time All American High Jumper.
Russ has served as the President of the Downingtown East Boys Basketball Boosters and is very engaged within his church.
Douglas J. Green
Managing Principal, MSC Retail
Douglas J. Green joined MSC Retail in 2004 as an associate and was made a principal of the firm in January of 2011. Since his arrival at the company, Douglas’ work has included tenant and landlord representation, investment sales, hospitality consulting and development advisory services throughout the east coast. In his role as the Managing Principal of MSC Retail, Mr. Green is responsible for the strategic direction and growth of the company, business development and management of the firm’s transactional brokerage division.
Outside of MSC Retail, Mr. Green is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the Urban Land Institute (ULI), and he serves on the Board of Directors of the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau (PHLCVB). Mr. Green guest lectures annually on retail leasing and development at Villanova University and currently serves as a faculty member for ICSC’s University of Shopping Centers, held annually at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Most recently, Mr. Green was selected for the Philadelphia Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Award.

John Hemmer is a partner in the Intellectual Property Group of Morgan Lewis. John focuses on assisting companies and inventors in securing and leveraging patent protection for their inventions. He prepares and prosecutes patent applications across a broad range of technologies including medical devices, cleantech technologies, electro/mechanical devices, military equipment, consumer products and packaging, and computer implemented business methods. John's practice also focuses on the preparation and negotiation of technology agreements, venture capital financing, merger and acquisition agreements, and intellectual property due diligence. He received his J.D. from Temple University, Beasley School of Law and his B.S. in mechanical engineering from Pennsylvania State University's Schreyer Honors College. Sheila M. Hess, is Philadelphia's City Representative. Hess joined the city after a 24-year successful career at Independence Blue Cross, and most recently was Director of the Independence Blue Cross Foundation & Community Affairs, responsible for the company’s charitable $65 million private foundation. Designed as a national model, the highly regarded charitable private foundation creates sustainable solutions to improve the health and wellness of our neighborhoods. She is proud of the legacy she left at IBC, with the creation of the Blue Crew Corporate Volunteer Program, now celebrating 15 years of giving back and making an impact on the community. Jordan Hyatt, JD PhD

Dr. Hyatt is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Criminology & Justice at Drexel University. Dr. Hyatt's research focuses on corrections and reentry, with a focus on the evaluation of community-based interventions. Dr. Hyatt holds a PhD in criminology from the University of Pennsylvania and a law degree from Villanova University School of Law, where he was a Public Interest Scholar.

Matthew J. Maguire

Matthew J. Maguire is of counsel in the Labor and Employment Group of Pepper Hamilton LLP, resident in the Berwyn office. Mr. Maguire represents management in a variety of labor and employment matters. He counsels employers on labor and employment aspects of corporate transactions, and on avoiding and addressing union organizing campaigns. He defends employers before state and federal administrative agencies and courts in claims involving age, race, gender, disability and national origin discrimination and claims of unlawful workplace harassment. In addition, he also defends claims involving the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Equal Pay Act, wage payment disputes, unfair labor practices before the National Labor Relations Board, and claims involving the enforceability of restrictive covenant agreements.

Joe Mangini is a Vice President in the Private Wealth Management Group of Goldman Sachs where he advises endowments, foundations and family offices. Joe joined Goldman Sachs in 2002. Denise is an Audit Managing Director in the Asset Management practice of KPMG’s Philadelphia office, primarily serving registered investment advisors the various types of fund products that they sponsor. Denise has served as both a national and regional instructor, as well as developer of national and local investment management training courses. She serves as a People Management Leader to guide and mentor Senior Associates through their careers. She is a member of KPMG’s Network of Women (KNOW) and the Working Mom’s Group. She is actively involved in recruiting accounting graduates from University of Delaware, her alma mater. Jim Marino currently serves as the Assistant Athletic Program Coordinator for the Philadelphia Parks & Recreation Department and in that capacity he serves as Race Director of the Internationally recognized Blue Cross Broad Street Run 10-Miler, Marino after serving as Assistant Race Director in 1996 and 1997 became the Race Director of the Blue Cross Broad Street Run in 1998 and has worked in some capacity on the race staff since 1984. In 2006 he was named Assistant Parade Director for the Philadelphia Mummers Parade and as the Emergency Preparedness coordinator for the Recreation Department.

Megan L. Nani has over 20 years in television, brand management and strategic partnerships; representing global media brands including Bravo, A+E, History and Lifetime among others. She has successfully negotiated content and partnership agreements for distribution on multi-platforms and over the top streaming. Beyond content distribution sales and 360 account management of enterprise corporate accounts, she is a brand ambassador and a partnership broker. With her video production background, she visualizes the potential integration of brands, content, advertiser and all partners and brings them together in a cohesive way to bring brands and stories to life. She is currently the president and owner of a strategic marketing consulting firm, Harmony Partners. She provides her expertise in brand and media management as well as experiential events and partnership marketing for clients including int'l video and satellite company, Olympusat Media, Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, Society for Cable & Telecommunication Engineers, as well as food & service industry and non-profit organizations. Personally, she is an active mom and has served as a mentor for other professionals and youth through a number of industry & trade organizations as well as a local youth program called The Garage. Nani has also coached an after school youth running program, Girls on the Run and SRIDE for boys, which incorporates running with a curriculum focusing on building confidence, empowerment, creating positive choices and habits as well as setting and achieving personal goals.
